We design, plant, and deliver seasonal arrangements to your front door four times a year. No hauling bags of potting soil. No watching last season's mums crisp up in November. Just a porch that looks cared for, all year long.
Every arrangement is chosen for our zone 7a climate and the way light moves across your specific porch. What thrives in Greenville in July is not what thrives in Newark in February, and our designs respect that.
Tulips, pansies, early perennials, and fresh greenery to shake off the gray.
Heat-loving blooms and trailing vines built to hold up through August humidity.
Mums, ornamental cabbage, grasses, and seasonal accents for a warm entrance.
Fresh-cut evergreens, winterberry, and natural elements that look good into March.
Choose how many seasons you want covered and the size that fits your existing planter. If you don't have planters yet, we can help you pick the right ones.
Sun or shade? Shared walkway or private entry? A few quick questions help our designers build something that actually thrives where you live.
Four times a year, a First State Flora team member shows up at your door, swaps the old arrangement for the new one, and leaves care instructions behind. You don't need to be home.
All plans include design, plants, soil, delivery, and installation into your existing planter. Care instructions come with every drop-off. Prices below are for a Standard planter (12–16").
Small planters (up to 12") are $25–$30 less per delivery. Large planters (16–20") are $35–$50 more per delivery. Commercial properties, HOAs, and multi-planter setups: request a quote.
We cover New Castle County and a bit beyond. If you're not sure whether we reach you, send a note and we'll tell you straight.
First State Flora started with a simple observation. Plenty of homes in northern Delaware have beautiful porches and empty planters, and nobody has time to replant them four times a year. Nurseries are great, but hauling trays of flowers home, picking the wrong combination, watching half of it die in July, and starting over in September gets old.
We take that job off your plate. Our designers build arrangements specifically for the light, exposure, and style of each home. We deliver them, install them, and come back when the season turns. You get a porch that looks intentional, not an afterthought, without ever touching a bag of soil.
Each delivery includes a custom-designed arrangement with live plants, potting soil appropriate for your planter, delivery, and installation. When a new season rolls around, we come back, swap the arrangement, and take the old one with us. A care card is included so you know how to water it.
Not by default. Most customers have planters they already love. If you need planters, we can recommend sizes and styles or source them for you at cost plus a small handling fee. Just ask.
No. We just need access to your planter. Most of our installs happen while customers are at work.
Measure the inside diameter across the top. Small fits up to 12 inches, Standard runs 12 to 16 inches, and Large covers 16 to 20 inches. Anything bigger than that is a custom quote and we are happy to do it.
Yes. We ask for 30 days notice so we don't special order plants for an empty delivery. Last minute skips may carry a small restocking fee.
Delaware weather does what it wants. If something fails within two weeks of install due to a plant issue on our end, we replace it. After that we can usually help troubleshoot, and the next delivery is never far off.
Roughly: spring drops in early April, summer in late May, fall in early September, and winter around Thanksgiving. Exact dates shift with the weather. We notify you before we come.
Yes. Restaurants, offices, retail, and HOAs make up a good chunk of what we do. Commercial pricing is custom. Reach out and we'll put a proposal together.
Inside our northern Delaware service area, yes. Outside of it, we'll quote you fairly or point you somewhere closer.
Tell us a little about your porch and what you're hoping for. We'll get back within one business day.
